Send the final amount. SatsRail requests an invoice from the merchant's wallet provider, checks whether it's paid, and returns the result. Your POS marks its own sale paid.
No catalog migration or basket synchronization required. SatsRail keeps the payment record; your POS remains the source of truth for the sale.

Choose Lightning
The cashier totals the sale in your POS and selects Bitcoin Lightning. Your system sends the payment amount to SatsRail.

Show the QR
SatsRail returns an invoice for that payment. Your POS displays its QR code. The customer scans it with a funded Lightning wallet.

Complete the sale
SatsRail verifies payment with the wallet provider. Your POS gets the confirmation, closes the sale, and issues its usual receipt.
Customer wallet → merchant wallet
The bitcoin goes directly to the merchant. SatsRail never holds the funds.

Do we need to use SatsRail's POS?
No. Your merchants keep using your POS. SatsRail provides the payment connection behind the Lightning option you add.
Does it work with Android terminals?
Yes, if your app can communicate with your backend and display a QR code. Your backend holds the merchant API credentials. The same approach works for desktop and web POS software.
Do we have to move orders or customer data?
No. Send the final amount and keep the link between the payment and your sale in your own system. SatsRail creates a minimal internal order for the payment record; it does not need your basket or customer details.
What if a terminal loses its connection?
SatsRail continues monitoring the invoice. When the terminal reconnects, your system checks the saved payment reference and updates the sale. Your integration must handle this recovery before showing a final result.
Can merchants still accept cards and cash?
Yes. Lightning is an additional payment method in your POS. Customers who choose it need bitcoin in a Lightning-compatible wallet.
